Every summer Tuesday will be a jazz one, on the art-club "44" stage!
EIGHT PARTS is a band formed of first-year students of the R.M. Gliyer Institute of Music. According to the professors of the institute, this year’s intake of students is one of the strongest ones for the past few years. Most of the members of the EIGHT PARTS attended the course of the lecturer of the Berklee College of Music, Vladimir Neselovskiy, which was held in autumn, 2009. Back then the musicians showed a great talent and ability to learn fast. During the last year not only they gleaned experience, but also showed great skills on the jazz festival “Jaliton”, which took place this spring in Yalta. The EIGHT PARTS got II prize in the category "Ensemble", and Andrey Gritsenko (drums) got a special prize "For virtuosity" from the festival’s jury.
22 June the EIGHT PARTS will perform in the art-club "44" within the New Generation project. Kiev premiere, art-club "44" premiere. The new generation of Ukrainian jazz - the EIGHT PARTS. In this program: jazz standards and author compositions.
