Ukraine premiere within the Summer Jazz Night project. Open Mic project is launched in Ukraine. 13 June, at the art club "44", the first "Open Mic" took place. This project attracted huge interest; the number of applications exceeded the number of actual spots. Professional vocalists as well as newcomers were among participants of the project.
What is Open Mic?
Open Mic is a night for the ones who always wanted to go on a real stage and make themselves known. Often, talented musicians just don’t have a place to perform. Similar evens have been taking place all over the USA for many years, and not only for musicians, but for poets and comedians as well. Almost every club in America holds its own Open Mic weekly. Somehow, nobody thought of it in Ukraine before. Now, thanks to online.fm, you have the opportunity to reach for the Open mic and to perform well known tunes to the accompaniment of a real jazz band, on stage of the art-club "44".
Find out how interested you are in this event just by taking a simple test:
- Would you like to perform at a well known art-club?
- Would you like to perform a jazz standard or a famous tune in jazz adaptation?
- Would you like to go on stage with a professional jazz band?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to all three questions, then the Open Mic project is your chance.
