Armada, a rock band from Ukraine (Kadim Tarasov – vocals, Alex Taryanik – bass, Andrey Malygin – guitar, Igor Lyashchenko – drums) appeared in November 1999 with their first album "5+5", included 5 tracks recorded in studio plus 5 tracks from their live performance. The period of 1999-2000 was full of work in Ukraine. Starting with their participation in live TV show on "1+1" (one of the most popular TV channels in Ukraine), Armada performed "5+5" on different stages in Ukraine such as: great concert in Kiev featured by popular rock bands form Ukraine and Russia, the Adidas Street Show, a tour around the castles of the Western Ukraine, number of live TV broadcasts on the 1st National Channel, concert with Scooter in a Kiev club, Biker Show, Ukrainian rock festivals and actions, etc.
In Autumn, 2000 Armada's video for "Zemlya v illuminatore" was rotated in all leading Ukrainian music programs as well as on MTV Russia.
2001 brought Armada a contract with Volia Music Group. A one year co-operation with this company led to active work of group not only in Ukraine. In spring ARMADA made a tour to Moscow (Russia) with a number of concerts and live TV broadcast on a Moscow TV channel. In summer of the same year they were invited to Nashestvie, a grand Moscow festival. Later in September the group headlines in "Rock-Tochka" festival.
--> --> In gaps between concerts Armada worked on their new album "Nezhnost" presented in spring of 2002. In spite of a tender title "Nezhnost" ("Tenderness") the album attracted not at all delicate funs and causes a dissent in Ukrainian music society. With this program they became a constant guests of such actions as biker-parties and extreme-shows. Under influence of different musical styles the guys created a new tendency in Ukraine which is none the worse alternative for Faith no More, Korn or Limp Bizkit.
