Ilya Yeresko

Ilya Yeresko is celebrated as one of the Ukraine's best composers, arrangers, and pianists, having played with such musicians as Francois Jeanneau, Randy Brecker, Valfredo de los Reyes Jr, and Gabin. Formerly a member of Skhid Side, Ukraine’s premier jazz band, Ilya's commitment to new music in Ukraine proves inspirational for the people around him.

Playing around Europe in Moscow, London, Vilnius, and many cities around Ukraine, he also appeared in the Koktebel Jazz Festival in 2005 and 2006. His love for salsa music started several years ago and led to the co-foundation of the Kiev Salsa Kings, Ovsianikov & Yeresko Band and his interest in many percussive salsa instruments.

Ilya has long been a highly demanded jazz arranger and composer, and this jazz background, combined with his intense study of Caribbean rhythms, now gives disLOCAdos its signature sweet & sour sound, heard on their historic recordings.  Ilya continues to let his passion and vision drive to shape Ukraine's musical landscape into a more educated and diverse topography.
