Ludmila Zaitseva was born at Kiev, in Ukraine. She began her studies at the musical college Lysenko with Victor Ermakov, and continued at the National Tchaikovski Conservatory of Kiev with Alexander Snigerev (piano class) and Rimma Golubeva (accompaniment class), where she obtained the 1st prize of piano. Afterwards, she worked during ten years as a piano professor at the Regional Conservatory of Kiev.
During her studies, Ludmila won the 1st prize at the concours "Chopin’s Concertos", then in 1995 the diploma of the best accompanist at the Chisinau’s International Concours (Moldavia).
Since 1999, she lives in France, currently works at the Conservatory of La Roche sur Yon, and continues her pianist career by playing many concerts as a soloist, or in various formations.
