Marinita

Marinita (Marina Zakharova) is a Ukrainian singer, pianist and composer. The original style of Marinita was described by many critics as a unique combination of many genres as classical, jazz, Jewish, Ukrainian, Gypsy, Azeri and other oriental folk music traditions.

Marinita plays with amazing azeri percussion player from Kyiv Orhan Agabeyli. Together with him Marinita has four projects with different brilliant musicians: Mark Eliyahu - Israeli star, kamancheh player and composer; Teymur Phell - great bass player from New York; Ferenc Bernath - beautiful classical guitar player from Budapest; Amir Perelman from New Song of Jerusalem Ensemble. Very well-known Israeli musician and composer (oud, bouzouki, guitar); Shirhan Agabeyli amazing bass player and singer, the brother of Orhan Agabeyli.

Marina had tours in the USA, Israel, EU and Ukraine. She took part in many international festivals:

Sacred Music Festival (Jerusalem, Israel), PalmJazz - 2012, 2010 (Poland), Jazz Days in Megiddo - 2012 (Israel), Nessiah - 2011 (Pisa, Italy), Jazz Bez - 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008, 2004 (Ukraine-Poland), Warsaw Summer Jazz Days - 2008 (Warsaw, Poland), City Stages - 2005 (Birmingham, USA), ZaJazz - 2008 (Kharkiv, Ukraine), Mamakabo - 2008 (Koktebel, Ukraine), Ednist - 2007, 2005 (Kyiv, Ukraine), and many others.

Marina Zakharova released four albums with the international musical project Anno Domini:

Galilee - 2008, Sand & Stone - 2005, In The Focus of Time - 2004, Behind The Horizon - 1999. The last one "Galilee" was recorded with participation of many musicians from Ukraine, Israel (Jewish and Arabic), Azerbaijan and the USA.
