Slava Kazykin

Slava Kazykin - singer, composer, clarinetist and saxophonist, representative of two clarinet and saxophone schools: ukrainian and french. Since his childhood he was aroused to the music by his father, Vladimir Kazykin, great melomane and musician amator. At the age of nine, Slava began the learning of clarinet and saxophone with Yuri Vasylevych, who made him enter several concours and concerts, teaching him by those means what a scene looks like; then, he entered the Regional Conservatory of Kiev and became for a few years the pupil of Roman Vovk - a recognized breath and sound's specialist. He finished his studies in the National Superior Conservatory of Kiev while coming back to his first teacher, Yuri Vasilevitch, and leading an already busy professional career (radio and television recordings, tours abroad...). Finally, he refined his interpretation with Jacques Dambrine (clarinet) and Joel Herisse (saxophone) at the Conservatory of Nantes (France) with a throughly work on the styles of Western Europe's classical music. Since 1996, he lives and works in France, has done more than 400 concerts in France, Ukraine, Spain and Argentina and recorded 8 CDs.
The Duet Slava Kazykin - Ludmila Zaitseva was born between the walls from CNR of Kiev in 1986, at the time of the preparation of Slava with National competition of the Interpreters of wind instruments. Their first service took place on the scene of the philharmonic society of Dniepropetrovsk, where Slava became prize winner by gaining the 2nd price...
