"Children's art-book "The Bride" is a journey into the world of the traditional wedding dress. Is it possible to be a queen wearing a shirt from home-made fabric? We aspire to demonstrate the incredible luxury of the traditional outfit and to teach children to distinguish between Borshchiv shirt and Polissya one, Hutsul zapaska and Poltava plakhta, to recognize balamuts, dukach, and zgards. And, perhaps, one of the girls will then wish to become a queen wearing a shirt from home-made fabric.
"The Bride" is continuation of the popular art-book "The Chest. The Power Artifacts". This project was created with the support of Ivan Honchar National Museum, based on the museum's collection, as well as on those of well-known Ukrainian collectors of antiquities."
