Serhiy Kovalenko. Ivan Bohun – ukrajinsky Don Kikhot. Historical Essay. (Ivan Bohun – the Ukrainian Don Quixote)
"The book is about the life and career of this remarkable figure, Ivan Bohun. For the first time, it generalizes information about this outstanding commander and statesman, shows his role in the events that took place in Ukraine and outside before Khmelnitsky times, during and after them. The story in the book takes place against the background of the events that for many years defined the fate of Ukraine and neighboring countries, and that even now influence it. These events are unfolded in the time span of 1641-1664 and in the space from the Vistula to the Volga, from the Oka to the Danube. What was the place of Ivan Bohun? Who was he? What was he like? This book speaks about all this.

The book is accompanied by a large number of drawings (122) that visualize events of those times, as well as colored maps (11) with event mentioned in the book marked on them. At the end, the book contains annexes that make it possible for the reader to deepen his/her knowledge about the events mentioned (286 articles) and about the persons (140 articles) involved in them.

The book is intended for everyone interested in the past of Ukraine and its neighboring countries."
