Esthetic Education. Live At Ring.

I do not know about others, but for me, as ever, expectation of the new album by "Esthetic Education" was joyful. Because I liked the project from the very beginning, and meanwhile I still have never got disappointed. I like the idea, and the music, and the attitude to it – to the music, I mean. Though, probably, I would not be able to explain it in detail – but I very clearly feel here the attitude to music as to the goal and way of existence, not a product, however qualitative it might be. I think that it brings the group to balancing on the thin verge – rock, pop, art, magic, bread and show, temptation, the truth of art and art of the truth... As for me, "Esthetic Education" somehow reminds a well. It has and offers pure, filtered, vigorous water – but you, the audience, must extract it yourself. Then it becomes twice tastier. This music is capable of appealing to several cultural layers and not to lose thus its own internal value, it does not turn into empty eclecticism – and, eventually, it builds up its own cultural layer. Therefore, it demands certain musical sensitivity – but, at the same time, it may hypnotize a casual listener as well. Young, contradictory, phlegmatic and vigorous, persevering, but not impudent – this music is in a search. And – it finds.
