Kobza. Series "Ukrainian VIAs".

In the 60-80s of the last century a lot of vocal and instrumental ensembles (VIAs) appeared on the Ukrainian scene, and there were quite a lot of good ones among them. But there were several most talented, expressive, bright, professional – they had a great number of fans then, they inspire respect till today (the more so that they continue performing). These best ones, no doubt, included VIA Kobza. It is not by chance that it was Kobza that recorded a disc – the first in Ukraine stereo disc, and exactly Kobza was the first Ukrainian group that had a professional tour in the west (at times of the Soviet Union). Actually, that is why we consider that the collection of the best songs from the early period of Kobza’s work can interest lots of people. For those who remember this music from times of their youth – it will be nice to remember what songs then made their blood boil. Well, and for those who are interested in history of the Ukrainian variety art – it is just definitely worth listening to the collection of the best pieces from one of the best VIAs of Ukraine.
