Leo Witoszynskyj, Ostap Shutko. Concert in Lviv.
Leo Witoszynskyj is the Austrian classic guitarist, whose mastery has for a few dozens of years now enjoyed due recognition in the whole world. His family originates from Ukraine, but for the last three generations they have been living in Austria – this resulted in that now Leo Witoszynskyj actively develops cultural links between the two countries. He has given quite a lot of concerts and master classes in Ukraine, even got the honorable title of the "Honored Artist of Ukraine" in 2001. Now you see the first disc that Ostap Shutko recorded jointly with Leo Witoszynskyj – and this disc must not pass unnoticed by appreciators of classic music. Because this is the record of a live concert. Because when two of so known, talented people play together – it cannot be something ordinary. And, actually, it is not – even by simply looking through the list of the pieces, you will understand how interesting this disc must be. And the information about these pieces represented by Leo Witoszynskyj in the booklet makes the listening even more interesting. However, even without that everyone who knows the name of Ostap Shutko in fact does not need any further advertising. Regardless of the young age, he has managed to become one of the most noticeable, significant, and just popular musicians of the "classic" Ukraine. We will not enumerate here once again all of his achievements and awards, just – listen. Deep and thin, emotional and exact, free and strict – that is how this music sounds.

Vitaliy Sobolev, Yevhenia Nesterenko. Mykola Lysenko: Works. /digi-pack/.

This disc was created on the eve of Mykola Lysenko's anniversary – and, perhaps, it should be emphasized that it is work by young performers. It's nice – both because they have managed to record and release this program, and because they chose him – Lysenko. Let us just keep it in mind that one can talk about it, or one can – do it. And it is done – well.

Helena Strogan, Herman Safonov. Berezovsky, Schubert, Ischenko.

"The duo of H. Safonov and H. Strogan, – according to composer Stankovych, – is the highly-professional ensemble of musicians, who differ due to their rich culture, nice understanding of style and form, delicate test, capability of expression of wide imagination and emotional spectrum: from the finest lyricism to wild wide-open emotion..."

Herman Safonov, Helena Strogan. Grieg, Brahms, Galperin.

This is the feeling as if you look at a picture painted in cool tones – and suddenly you understand that it is warm, very saturated emotionally. Then the colors start creating another pattern... Actually, that is why it seems to us that this disc can become a source of significant pleasure for experienced connoisseurs as well.

Natalia Tolmachova, Olga Shutko. Romantic Cello. /digi-pack/

The violoncello here lives a saturated live, breathes full breast, flies freely, whispers gently – a great number of colors and emotions are incarnated skillfully, exactly, elegantly. Yes – maybe, it is elegance that may be called one of main features of the album.

Leo Witoszynskyj, Ostap Shutko. Cantabile e ritmico.

This is the case when, even knowing the piece well, you all the same discover it anew – and isn't it one of main signs of musicians' level? Well, and in addition – as well as the last time –you will find in the booklet brief but substantial notes by Leo Witoszynskyj about the works performed here.
