Probably, there is no need here for any additional explanations. All is simple: folk ballads are compulsory for listening. At least, if you think yourself part of the folk – and if you want to understand it from inside, through primordial creations, and not through crazy jaws of newspaper headlines. After all, it is here that the Ukrainian history arises in the form as perceived by a simple man’s heart – because the form given to us in the works of historians is the form of mind, not heart. And mind, as we know, does not possess the final knowledge. It does not mean that one shouldn’t be interested in history – but one must have a possibility for an alternative approach. Then one has a chance to foster his own opinion, instead of repeating others’.
