Over 10 years, Cherkasy Jazz Quintet has released seven albums – in the Ukrainian jazz this is, perhaps, one of the most extensive discographies. Plus, there were also solo albums and other projects by Serhiy Krasheninnikov – the leader of Cherkasy JQ, should we mention at least
Pelican Jazz Quartet. The focus of Cherkasy JQ from the beginning and till now has been hard-bop, the music of the 1950-60's. Even the albums that are tributes to The Beatles and the music from old movies, due to the authored arrangements – after all, do not deviate that much from that concept. Well, and this collection, in fact, allows, albeit brief and selective, an overview of almost the entire path of the project – here you will find tracks from each of the previous seven albums.
