This is a nice music for relaxation, light and pleasant. In it there’s no imperative for abstrusity and thinking as such. This music is one of mood rather than of state, and this mood is exultant. It has certain universality – listening to it, you can dance, eat and drink, go in for sports or clean your flat, make love or simply stroll about the streets in the morning or at night. I am absolutely serious, with this music you do not want just to sit – there’s an insistent need to move. It seems as if it wound a spring inside of you and now everything, even trees and windows, move keeping time with its rhythm. Excuse me; have you ever seen flying fish? I myself have just felt them. As for going for a walk, why not now?

On behalf of a friend who also listened to my CD, he defined it as "techno-classical" :-) ... but more importantly, he also described it as exquisite, emotional, thought-provoking ... a serious work of art, in every meaning of the word.

I used to think Itzhak Perlman was the best solo violinist I'd ever heard. But after listening to the first song this CD, I now know that everyone has a rival! Assia's strokes are definitely on a very fine edge, sharp, powerful, and so precise that there is no distraction at all from the beauty, the poetry, the emotion of the music itself. This CD, Assia's artistry, is everything that others have said: haunting, reflective, passionate, seriously and wonderfully ethnic at times ... relaxing .. but also as the description says, it's hard to sit still with this music! It clutches the soul and seems to draw on every thought and every emotion ... from start to finish, It's one of the most captivating albums that I've ever heard!

Wonderful CD. The music is beautiful and haunting. If you like violin music with an edge, this is for you. There is a definite ethnic, world music feel to many of the tracks, so you geth both the classical touch and the ethnic touch which makes for a unique combination. Great to listen to while relaxing.

As well, as other reviewers - I was taken back by this CD. Well, to tell the truth - I bought it judging by cover and not really knowing what to expect.
Well, if you like violin and just music - you are in for the treat...

What a fantastic CD. Assia's CD was part of my first order from UMKA and Marijka and I were blown away by the quallty of Assia's performance. We drove 700Km's over the week end ( headed down toward the Antarctic ) and spent many hours enjoying Assia's CD. It was a real pleasure to listen to the classical renditions of Assia's perormance and I will seek out more of her CD's.

I've been really surprised by this CD. I bought it because not because of the CD high sales ranking but mainly because the cover appealed to me. I liked the poetry of it and in this case i haven't been disappointed. The cover very well reflects the poetry of Assia's music. Reflection and passion are all there. One day I was listening to this CD with a friend of mine and we tried to identify Western musicians who compose somewhat similar music. We identified three: Deep Forest, Jarre and Vangelis but Assia seems to be on the classical side to her advantage. Moreover, mny of my local non Slavic Australian friends were really impressed.

Ne tak, tretja pisna chudova, ja zamovljav disk tilki dlja cju pisnu ale druge tezh duze dobre. Bulo bi duze dobre jakscho bi vona zrobila sche bilsh pesni z Afrikanskim horum i ii harnu skripkuju, chudova kombinacija.
