Knowing that the author of "Stoned Jesus" is Igor Sidorenko aka Krobak, whose disc "The Diary of the Missed One" really pleased a few years ago – one could expect something extraordinary. And it is nice that "Stoned Jesus" does not disappoint: the new album (5 tracks – but almost 50 minutes!) appears really interesting, very atmospheric. Not in terms of ease – but in terms of the capacity to create a special atmosphere. This is something new, born due to deep immersion into the old – perhaps, that is why the press release states: "Stoned Jesus play vintage rock in the best tradition of the '70s, inspired not only by heavy blues, early progressive and classical psychedelics, but even grunge, stoner and post-hardcore of the '90s". It is not only about music – which, however, mesmerizes with the freedom of juggling reflections of the old styles. I'd like to individually mention the voice of Igor Sidorenko. It is not that it impresses with some extraordinary power – there is no need for that. It is about something else. His singing – as though permeates the time and goes beyond it. In the very tone, manner of performance there is something magical, which makes one remember the classic performers of the British and American rock, starting somewhere from the 1960s – and it makes us believe that even today some are able to feel and hear the unearthly music in the thicket of the earthly experience...

It easily combines the somewhat nervous manner of indie rock with the best displays of brit-pop, with cool emotionality of Scandinavian underground. However, these are nothing but relative definitions. Speaking otherwise, light, graceful melodiousness plus furious onslaught – elegance and, at the same time, enormous tension of all forces.

I would call this music hard blues – but do not get surprised when you hear in it surprisingly transparent trip-hop mood. It would seem that these both styles could hardly be called optimistic. Conditional minus. But, as it happens from time to time, minus to minus has given us an unexpected, but so warm, intimate plu...

From the very beginning these people promised that they would compose a high-quality European music, and to my mind it is exactly the thing they are busy with at the moment. This maxi-single, I think, is another confirmation of this fact.

Is there any way to measure experience? Even supposing that it is the sum of answers, all the knowledge you have gained. And what if experience is measured not with the number of answers, but with the quality of questions? Vivienne Mort seems to glide on the surface of a mirror on the other side of its bottomlessness – and puts dark pearls straight to your lips..

..this music it saturated with some pristine but conscious magic. Vivienne Mort do not force themselves to release long-plays – but you would never say that their releases are unfinished, incomplete. On the contrary – these are really holistic, non-accidental expressions. Concise, yes – but is it a vice?

This discs represents the last episode in the work by Anatoly Alexanian. It happened so that during the last days (none could know that those were the last ones), he productively cooperated with young singer and poet Anya Luchihina. They worked together on recording of an album of ten song...

I will not thoroughly describe the recording for you – because I consider it pure beauty. It will show you everything itself – about tenderness, melancholy, and an insight, and the indescribable silence of words pronounced – and it will condemn none. Let it be so.

It is a good soft jazz, light and fancy, but not too variegated to hurt your eyes. I am sure that it will be pleasant to listen to this jazz even for those who do not listen to any jazz at all, as there is no cold intellectual philosophising in it.
