Natalka Samsonova has been on the scene for already almost twenty years – though lately she has been rather not singing but promoting, acting as the producer of young performers. In other words, a person with such experience knows for sure what he/she does – and knows what it must be like. And as a result – at least, on this disc – quite a strange, interesting mixture appears. That is there absolutely peacefully coexist Ukrainian variety art of the familiar kind, restaurant chanson, lyric romanticism, dancing energy, even a light aftertaste of blues. Honestly speaking, it is even strange how she succeeded in combining so quietly, without tension these different things – but she did succeed in that, no doubt. Moreover, all that together generates some new sensations – ambiguous but interesting. In any case, it seems that this disc is really able to make fans of Ukrainian variety art happy – because, evidently, nobody has yet introduced it in this form. And it's a pity – for this could probably lead to some rather unexpected outcomes...
