Soncekliosh. Oleno, ne plach! (Olena, Don't Cry!)

Although the group Sontsekliosh has existed not that long, for only about three years, only a lazy one could fail to notice it during this time. And you would not say that the group somehow in a peculiar annoying manner promotes at every corner its green eyes, not at all. But there is also no urgent need for that – because Sontsekliosh has occupied the creative niche that it had created. Well, there is no other group in Ukraine that would explore the sphere of neo-retro – at least, currently we do not hear about such. However, in view of attractiveness of the idea, Sontsekliosh has all chances to very soon become overgrown with followers. In its foundation, the idea was simpler and defined as "ethno-cabaret" – that is, folk songs decorated with a music mix from any sorts of styles. Conditionally speaking, from northern dub to oriental blues. And as a result they conducted skilful retro-styling for NEP times (the New Economic Policy), that is for around the 1920s. And what appeared then – was a bomb. It sounds easy and natural, but one should listen attentively to the words – and your language would refuse calling it simply entertaining music. The girls approach selection of texts no less attentively than the manner of performance. That is why, presumably, the listener will more than once notice with a surprise that just now he / she has received together with a sunny smile quite a bitter pill. However, it is hardly possible to get offended with that – because all that is done in a talented way, with a taste. In the end, the style obliges.
