TNMKongo – listen, because one of their songs lives here – and, by the way, feels great. If the name of
Oles Zhuravchak is familiar to you (do you remember his two discs with the name "Singing Pan-Pipe"?) – listen for sure. The more so that here he is not only a musician, but also the creative manager. If earlier he masterfully, brightly played folk melodies and their arrangements, now it is other creativity, another approach. But – with that the same mastery, high class of performance. Moreover – in addition to folk wind instruments, Oles Zhuravchak has mastered varied percussions. Various synthesis is, actually, a characteristic sign of music by Vognesmih – as it has two powerful grounds. One is rock sounding, strong, deep, modern. The second is the ethnic component, which is based on the pleasantly extensive palette of authentic instruments. Fortunately, mastery of performance does not yield to the breadth of palette – that is why this component adds delicious drive to this music and, at the same time, some transparency, lightness. Strong lightness – such combination is not often found in rock music, even when it is folk rock. But here it is just like that. So, it is pleasant that the interesting music interlaces not with empty lyrics, but with real thoughts. The depth of the thoughts varies, sure. But in a pied world thoughts must also be pied – otherwise, life turns into existence of biomass...
