Alexander Pushkin. Mertva tsarivna. Pro rybaka ta rybku.

I have no intention to reject the fact that Oleksandr Pushkin is a great poet, and what is the most important thing about him, he is a Russian poet - that’s why undoubtedly it is not so easy to translate his verses into other languages. On the other hand, Ukrainian is very close to Russian in many respects, and what is also very important, the former is as rich as the latter. That’s the very reason why it is much easier to translate these verses into Ukrainian than, for example, into English. Still, to my mind any translation with all its advantages and disadvantages is not more than a shadow as compared with the original. However it might be, under the cover we have two wonderful fairy tales – "A Dead Tsarevna" and "About A Fisherman and A Fish". Both of them are well narrated and have a nice and unobtrusive accompaniment. The same way as with all discs containing fairy tales from Mister Kotskyi, it is a very good quality. Still, it is up to you to decide whether to listen to it or not.
