Deep Tone project. Flow.

Deep Tone is a joint author project by Olexander Pavlov and Kostyantyn Ionenko, "Flow" – their debut album. That's right, the music of this album really flows – there is no stagnant water at all here. It's not very much like the sea, but it does not seem to have the temper of mountain rivers either, there are no violent, sharp rapids. Confident, powerful, but gentle movement forward – even the fast-paced, "tight spring" compositions preserve that feeling of power that has very well polished its own river-bed. It is addictive, mesmerizing without undue haste. You know, sometimes they describe a girl saying that "she walks – as if a swan swims", thus Deep Tone project very expressively portrays just such a girl.. It would seem that they have engaged young musicians who are very good at "jazzing it up" – but no, this time they paint with light water elusive shadows on the sand, sunlight flickering, whispering of the young wind, the smell of heated herbs, and many more tender things subtle for words but alive. Everyone will hear something of his/her own – there are enough warm colors in the sounds for all. A wonderfully lyrical album – probably, blues could sound that way if it had somewhere around an evening campfire lost its stock of tart bitterness...
