This time the series "The Golden Collection" contains not Ukrainian classical music, but the world one. Truth to tell, it contains world classical music performed by Ukrainian musicians – how can it be otherwise? Still, there’s one composition of a Ukrainian nature here – nocturne “Separation” by Mykhalo Hlynka, but these are details, and at that, far from being principal ones. The principal detail is quite different. If you respect classical music, this disc is another opportunity for you to listen again to favourite musical compositions, which belong even not to the national, but to the world cultural treasury. And if you are not interested in classical music at all, then it is understandable in advance that no words, no points of view or very clever quotations will make you change your mind and will make you listen to this music. So, to each his own. And if you like the compositions of Shubert, Chopin, Chaikovskiy, Debussi and others being performed in an ascetic manner (that is, in a chamber manner - without any orchestra), then this disc is exactly for you. In case you don’t like it, then we will meet on a different page.

It's nice that now within the framework of the "Golden Collection" it is possible to hear at least a small portion of truly exciting opera recordings. And, as is often the case with collections of this series, the disc contains real rarities: the oldest recording presented here was made back in 1940!

"The mini-brochure "Meditative Symphony" and the Music composed by me for it I dedicate to Osho. He is my inspiration. The idea occured to me after another reading of the book by Osho "Meditation – the First and Ultimate Freedom". I found a way how to convey to people immensity and grandeur of symphonic music."

As well as the first volume, this collection presents world classic pieces performed by Ukrainian musicians. And the definition of a "pearl" refers to, sure, not only the pieces as they are, but also to the models of masterful performance represented here.

Usually, you can hear it in performance of children collectives – this childishness. In this case – the singing is neither childish, nor adult. It is masterful. It is sufficient to abandon limitations of usual determinations. Sufficient to charm with purity of performance...

...our visitors have already had the opportunity to hear the clarinet of Vyacheslav Kazykin in composition of the Inter-quartet "Clarinetissimo!", in the album "Bachiazzola" – there music composed by him even sounds. However, this time – exclusively classics. Diverse – here you will find both deep pieces and entertaining ones.

All three composers – Grieg, Sibelius and Mendelssohn were wonderful at orchestration and that is why they often adapted their choral and chamber music for orchestra. This debut album from the "Kyiv Soloists Play" series is in a way a true anthology of orchestra transcription.

Why "Salt Symphony"? Because this record was made in spring 2006, during the already third festival of classic music, which takes place in a Donbas town of Soledar. Actually, the concerts took place not in the town, but in a salt cave, where they used to extract rock-salt.

Even the very name of a composer, I think, should not influence attitude to music. The thing is not the authority, but in beauty – either you feel it, or play another disk. However, I have the suspicion that, having heard performance by the "Rozumovsky" quartet, you will not want to change the disk that soon.
