The "Golden Collection" series often lets us enjoy its various interesting, and even truly rare releases. But it is now that two discs at once that, in our opinion, can contest for the rank of the best ones in the whole series have been released. One of them is a collection of the best songs by Volodymyr Ivasyuk. Actually, this name alone is already sufficient to attract attention of listeners virtually all over the world – even now, when it is 30 years already since he passed away. And this, by the way, is one of the first, or even really the first during this whole time licensed audio collection of his songs in this performance in Ukraine. In what sort of performance, you will ask? Well, we could say that the classic one – for these are not new interpretations. These are his recordings of the 1970s made, mainly, when Ivasyuk was still alive. Some of these recordings, sure, have already appeared in various collections – in particular, compilations of the "Golden Collection". But such rare recordings in such amount – it seems that they have been released for the first time. We hope however, that this initiative will be continued – for Ivasyuk's inheritance is far not exhausted by the 22 songs lasting 80 minutes, and it would be good to hear more. Because since then nobody similar to Ivasyuk has ever appeared in Ukraine..
(Well, and the second disc from the two mentioned ones is the album by Maria Mykolaychuk "Oh, Red Snowball Tree", but let's have a separate discussion of it)
