Viktor Krysko. Cinema graffiti. The best of movie music. /digi-pack/.

Above all, Viktor Krysko is known as the constant member of the original Kyiv project Er.J.Orchestra, although recently he pays no less attention to the so-called K-Trio – Roman Kolyada's project. But – in the both cases it is Viktor Krysko as violin improviser who works at the intersection of folk, jazz, and classical music. Well, and the album "Cinema Graffiti" introduces us to his somewhat different hypostasis. That of a composer. The fact is that in parallel Viktor works as the chief sound engineer at one of Ukrainian TV channels – due to that, he had the opportunity to try himself in the field of creating music for several TV films. Actually, this disc is a compilation of the sound tracks he recorded. And here it is worth noting two aspects. First, Krysko the composer appears no less versatile than Krysko the violinist. Second, despite the principle of compilation, the disc "Cinema Graffiti" really resembles an album – after all, we refer to mosaic patterns as pictures rather than random accumulations of pieces of smalt. Yes, the album is characterized by fragmentation – objectively speaking. But it may be, at the same time, both a forced step, and a natural part of the concept. Everything is done so that "Cinema Graffiti" appears like a series of flashes, and virtually each of them refers to something secret, intimate and light in the soul of the listener. And even some dark flashes are not so contrary to the general making but rather highlight it...
