I introduce to you the artistic project that reminds about the romantic epoch and exposes the unique world of the partially forgotten and absolutely unknown Ukrainian "transatlantic" variety inheritance. Every song of the project is a separate story, where an engrossing craving for insuperable love, commitment to reckless love, strong and fatal passion rule.
My first album "Dream about Love" consists of variety songs by the composers Bogdan Vesolovsky and Stepan Guminilovych, who were the creators of the Ukrainian variety art in the 1930-1940s. They created "songs of the easy genre" in the context of their contemporary European variety music, in which the fashionable rhythms of waltz, foxtrot, rumba and, in particular, tango prevailed.
Vesolovsky and Guminilovych had to leave Galychyna forever in the times of its occupation by the Soviet Union. Till the end of their days they lived and creatively worked in Canada with persistent craving in their heart for their native Ukraine..."
