Tayanna. Fantastychna zhinka. /digi-pack/. (The Fantastic Woman)

This is already Tayanna's third solo album – and the second one since they started their collaboration with Alan Badoev, whose engagement in the project already speaks for itself. Tayanna, obviously, places the quality bar high. The new album – despite its light sounding – turns out not even colorful, but rich, thought over not just superficially – thus, quite diverse. This applies to the singing, the manner – the voice reveals itself in very different ways in ballads and in dance hits, easily moving from folk colors to urban lyrics intonations, almost on the edge of indie pop. This also applies to the arrangements – here one can hear echoes of disco, neo-swing, the already mentioned folk patterns (and the overlapping of the Carpathian and Oriental ones). Rozhden as one of the arrangers, an unexpected version of Scriabin's song, and the fact that Tayanna is the author of all the rest of the songs (both the lyrics, and music) – these are extra sparkles. Not knowing these may not harm, but knowing will add extra colors. The piece turns out nice.
