Pavlo Tabakov. Miy svit. (My World)

For Pavlo Tabakov, this is already the fifth solo work, and we can say that he does not get tired – of growing. Versatile and flexible, he becomes ever more powerful – and that, perhaps, reveals not only his scenic experience, but also his experience in life. Singing by an adolescent and singing by a man having a child growing up – these are still different things. The inner attitude to the world changes – and it is certainly projected outward, becomes evident in the depth of emotion conveyed. This time, unlike the previous one, Pavlo Tabakov has recorded a pop album in its pure form – but, nevertheless, he managed to stay sincere, honest, not tempted by the familiar pop treacle. At least, in his singing you won't hear any false, pretentious posture. Actually, that's a great opportunity for comparison, because along with quite fresh songs, there are also a few old, well-known songs in new arrangements. The conclusion is quite simple: Tabakov is one of those people who are not only able to raise the Ukrainian popular music to an appropriate level, but they are also able to consistently keep at this high level. In the changing scenic world – it matters.
