"The only thing left is to overcome my fear" – these words from the first song – though not the quintessence of the meanings in "Son" (The Dream) album – quite accurately designate the foundation on which the other questions, images, and answers rest. One of its consequences is that the album sounds as if, conventionally speaking, a symphony, as a holistic one-hour piece harmoniously combining developments of several interrelated themes. It would be hard to say that they are very sunny – it's rather twilight romance, where there is space for despair, despondency, and denial. Everyone of us has eyes for fear. But that is the outer layer, through which the completely different, green, and confident power of the living looms. Each of us has the heart for joyful peace. Hear the lines of the electric guitars, strings – and compare them with those of the flutes, saxophones, and percussions. Compare the colors of the keyboards, the rhythm section – with the fluid light in the vocal parties. Take a look at the structure of the individual songs – it is not that simple. And it is from this confrontation with the cold ashes of hard times and the warm amber of the sun within that the fragile beauty of the "The Dream" is born, the capacity to not only perceive contradictions of the actual world, but also to understand the surreal, albeit surprising, harmony of the individual parts of it. And hence – the capacity to change something. Because every inhale and exhale, every day, and step, and dream – matter.
