It is already not the first time when we offer art by Oleksander Smyk to your attention. Till now, though, these were his solo albums – recorded in the bardic tone. While today, as you can see, we have something different. This is, actually, a collection of songs composed by Oleksander Smyk, which not only the author sings – one can hear here a dozen of various performers more. Including such well-known ones as
Iryna Shynkaruk and
Taras Zhytynsky. Thus, the disc has nothing to do with bardic songs – this is rather variety music. And as Smyk writes not just words but texts really rich in content – there appears variety art of a different sort, not resembling the now usual standards. It is nice when it is possible to hear in songs some life story, and reflections, and even some conclusions – in the end, this is what does them un-empty. Exactly such songs Oleksander Smyk creates.
