The Root Boys. Dig That Roots!

Mr. Och & His Root Boys is the project of Bohdan Ocheretyany, better known to the wide public as the drummer of the psychobilly team Mad Heads. But, as known, a few years ago Mad Heads turned into Mad Heads XL and started playing a bit different music. Therefore, in 2005, having recorded the album "Hope Is There" with them, Bohdan Ocheretyany left the group and then completely devoted himself to another project – actually, Mr. Och & His Root Boys. Here Mr. Ocheretyany appears as the guitarist and vocalist, as well as plays the percussion. However, the thing is not who plays what, but – how. Saying "well" – means saying nothing, because this group plays really high-class. Just like this: simply and high-class, without superfluous tricks, but exactly with that amount of spices that make music extraordinarily expressive and delicious. Let better rockabilly experts judge style subtleties – and they, by the way, never get tired of praising Mr. Och & His Root Boys for various aspects. While we see that so: when music rushes – no definitions matter any longer. And this music – touches, as only something real can hook. And we can do nothing but repeat after the musicians: dig that roots!
