Announcing the release of the new album, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk said: "In this work, we went back to the sound as on the album "YaNaNebiBuv", i.e. these are basically four instrumental lines and one vocal". So simply – but only at first sight. In the end, it is possible to describe with a similar formula, probably, 90% of the entire popular music for the latest 50 years... By the way, in the sense of music, the album does conduct a short excursion: glam rock, neo romanticism, Brit pop, cosmo rock – all that is here, and not only this. Ballads, "hits", sadness, sarcasm, patriotic fervor (in the best sense), soft lyricism – all that is here, and not only this... "Dolce Vita" is the answer to oneself, whether it is possible to keep the high standard set by the album "Measure". The answer is – yes, no doubt. Actually, these two albums in the group's discography can be compared due to the force and depth, and technical mastery. While technically "Dolce Vita" can even outweigh, because attaining maximal expressiveness by consciously limiting the set of instruments – not always and not everyone succeeds in that. It is only a pity that the album does not contain a bit more of such songs as "Sky over the Dnipro" or "Nadya" – but here already tastes differ...
