Dignity does not require official celebrations. What should that look like? Not to mention the fact that people keep dying still today. And one thing is the concerts, plays, lectures, etc. that empower, allow exhaling, enlighten, expand, but quite another thing is the official stuff, paparazzi, the smiles (or frowns) of media persons at the camera and the demagogy.. gogy.. orgy..
Those who lived through that and remember – those have it in their hearts.
Those for whom it was a film – are in line for the next portion of popcorn.
Thus, for us today it is a symbolic and memorial day, yes, definitely.
But – not a holiday. We should work...
