"Psalma" (do not confuse with Biblical psalms) are folk song of religious content. That is the folk, creative interpretation of the Christian dogma. Music of psal'mas is similar to church one, however, their language, artistic details are taken from everyday life contemporary to the texts' creators, and thus they are identical to the folk song. Biblical images became clearer, closer as a result. Some plots of psal'mas even emerge from the folk medium...

Faithful in their love to folklore of the Left Bank region, "Bozhychi" in this album represent psal'mas recorded in the Eastern part of Ukraine – in Dnipropetrovs'k, Donets'k, Luhans'k and Kharkiv regions. For these lands, the psal'mas recorded on the disc are pearls of the old Ukrainian spiritual art.
