VIII. "Modna krajina".
In his interviews at the moment of working on this album, Skryabin expressed the desire to approach the "live" sounding as close as possible, to have a bit of rest from synthesized music. As we can see, this is how it really happened. In contrast to, say, "Worm", which can be referred to as a rock album due to the semantic content, "Fashionable Country" is a rock album both due to the texts, and the music content. A number of good musicians were invited to work on the album – in particular, for example, Vsevolod Dyachyshyn (bass-guitarist of "Plach Yeremii" and the author of the album "Trip to the Bass Country"). As a result, the album appeared melodious and not really hard, but rather clear, sharp, it is even possible to feel in it, if one wishes, a light aftertaste of punk. Far not the least role in all this was played by the lyrics. "No Fools", "Bullterrier", "Chornobyl Forever", etc. – these songs prove that Skryabin could see well what was happening in Ukraine. And was not going to stay aside, because not too pleasant things were taking place. The specific thing is that these songs remain up-to-date today as well...
