I do not know whether anything similar exists in the world – but in Ukraine, I believe, nobody has so far ventured similar experiments. And the album has appeared funny – but it "grasps", as they say, at once. Perhaps, because it is not just music – NONJUST music. On the one hand – Mokh (Oleg Hnativ) has read authentic magic Huzul texts, sayings against evil forces. And their power can hardly be ignored. On the other hand – Kuzya (Serhiy Kuzminsky) created the music component and provided the entire material with that very specific sound that brings the album to some other orbit. And the fact that Kuzya has passed away – adds to mysticism of the "Ti, Khto Vidayut" (Those Who Wit) project some definitive uncompromising quality. Line-by-line voltage threads of the electronic patterns combined with the lyrics that do not divide the world into black and white but only into the Power and Powerlessness, without layers of the modern morality – are able to lead to a reverse explosion of consciousness. In other words, maximum rootedness in authenticity – but exactly in the part responsible for total denial of society in favor of experiences of the individual universe. And this should not be evaluated from generic positions at all. Because regarding magic for a layperson it is like this: either it works, or not. This one – it works. And the rest is known to Those Who Wit... Anton Jozhik Leyba (Hedgehog)

Sure, "Episodes" is pop music, but it is also sure to be intelligent pop-music, multi-layered, and interesting. That lives somewhere on the edge – and thus it is capable of transforming its audience. If you wish, dark pop. The promise of taking through the darkness and bringing into something new – it is there.

It is Alex Nademski who is the author of the project – and, in particular, of all the lyrics and the music (although he says he only recorded what came to him). ILLaria is a "guest star," the voice. Still, when one listens, it's hard to say whose role is the leading one – the both worked at their full capacity, that's sure.

..It’s hard to pinpoint exact influences that aptly mirror what Dark Patrick is going for here, though a safe bet would want to include nods to numerous strata of organic electronica, soundtrack ambient, world ethnotronica, psych and trip-hop. Additionally, the band claims some affiliation to the fertile soils of reggae, dub and trance...

Above all, Viktor Krysko is known as the constant member of the original Kyiv project Er.J.Orchestra, although recently he pays no less attention to the so-called K-Trio – Roman Kolyada's project. Well, and the album "Cinema Graffiti" introduces us to his somewhat different hypostasis. That of a composer.

"Brutal pop power" – so they call it. But there is a great temptation to also add other words: post-rock plus acoustic acid jazz with trip hop education – something like this, probably. However, all these names do not contradict each other – because music like this as it is means going beyond the limits of specific style...

Festivals of electronic music, jazz, rock – everywhere this group feels comfortable, and now it is even testing its ability to create music for films. Mamanet offers to the audience an intellectually energetic, strangely bewitching mixture of trip-hop, acid-jazz, post-rock, drum'n'bass and even disco – it is far not possible to define the group's art with some concrete word.

Atmospheric guitars, the melodiousness of the bass, separate patterns of the percussion against the background of the not always unambiguous main rhythms – and the interwoven braids of the characteristic, emotional vocal by Olena Sas, crystal-clean and warm at the same time. It might seem that everything is simple – but this is sort of correct, saturated simplicity that makes it transparent and soft inside..

..as a matter of fact, Ptakh_Jung's music turns out to be a great accompaniment for reflections, contemplation, because there is enough peace, and dynamism. One could say that the Black Period album is an ambient that dives into post-rock and emerges in neoclassicism – in an arbitrary order. Or one could say that the stratification of spaces..

Brevity, clarity of lines, softness of accents – sometimes even on the edge of being toylike. Transparent, like light shade. Add a bit of a bare nerve – and this would be "disruption" music, but for the time being The Elephants offer indie-pop-tronic with elements of fabulousness. And they do it so that one wants to believe it.

...a mysterious story of Stanislaus Perfecki – a poet, a traveler, and a performer who embarks upon a journey from Lviv to the West, and ultimately emerges in Venice, the City of Ghosts. There, he experiences a series of incredible adventures and falls in love with Ada Cytryna, his interpretress. Being forced to part with his beloved woman and unable to fulfil his special top secret mission, Perfecki vanishes..

It is hard to believe that all this amazing lace was created by just three individuals – the matter, given the saturation, is the precision of every line, every stroke. And in addition to this rather dense, rich basis, there's a whole bunch of decoration sounds. If you have been looking for inadvertently solar indie – this is a rare case of it, definitely.

"Molfar", I guess, is about the fact that there is no difference where from and where to, because there as always here-and-now. Where there is no place for hope – hope requires memory and time – and here all the space is occupied with.. attention? I do not even know – you stay in this space while the album plays on, and then this space just plays on in you..

...due to the dub basis and electronic "sparkles" 4.A.J.K.A creates an interesting, energetically twilight atmosphere – here, we bow to trip-hop – but. Some guitar motions, as well as the trumpet, in spite of such "twilightness" of sounding – fill the music with extra fragile light, do not let it submerge irreversibly into the dark depths.

At some instant this sort of music simply divides the dense mass of the audience into a sum of separate selves – in order to reunite them later, but already at another level. Then this is no longer a crowd, then these are people... It is possible to say otherwise. In this music, beauty is dissolved – which you listen and hear staying alone with yourself, even if there is someone else around...

Surprisingly soft, lyric, even tender rock music wrapped in multiplayer electronic diaper... Absolute correspondence to the name of the group. So delicate balancing on that rim of a dream, where colors are childishly bright, but contours have already been washed out with lolling of quiet waves – it charms from the first second, as if petals of a night campfire. One feels it as rough warmth of a knitted sweater...

...it seems that nothing of the kind has yet been released on Ukrainian alternative scene. At that, this refers to alternative of the two directions at once – both rock- and electronic one. Because, as known, Dollheads actively engage in their music electronic devices – in the end, this is heard distinctly. But at that the group plays – live.

That's what Mokh personally says about the album:
"In autumn 2008, Kuzya told me – come on, read-sing something Huzul for me. We have long had plans&talks about doing something together. I dug up ancient Huzul sacred texts and tunes, and then recorded the reciting and sent it to Kuzya. As a rule, there were virtually no doubles. Those lyrics are pure Huzul magic, recitals against evil forces. But when you recite them, it is impossible not to wake up SOMETHING. While reciting without entering into a trance – this makes no sense. Kuzya immediately set this standard. "Those Who Wit" is his insight, even then it became clear. For me, this work is a certain obligation for the opportunity to be involved. What Kuzya did in "Those Who Wit" is very ambiguous, these are very dangerous things – but one of his key features was courage."
