The eighth disc of the "Melodies of Ukraine" series, which was recorded by the National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Ukraine, is offered to your attention. To understand the in-depth mentality of a people, it is necessary to listen to its music. It singles out and emphasizes individual features of a human, his/her spiritual sensations.

Ukrainian land is the mother of a lot of peoples. Ukrainian melos has always been developing in parallel with music of other peoples, and there are over one hundred of them in our area. Permanent interpenetration has always been taking place here. This enriches music of all nationalities. The eighth disc is an example of that. It offers, alongside with Ukrainian music represented by the wonderful composers L.Revutsky, J.Lapynsky, M.Stetsyuk, K.Dominchen and others, music pieces by composers penetrated with folk music of other peoples and managing to reveal through their own perception of the world peculiar features of Moldavian, Jewish, Romanian and Hungarian peoples' music tradition.

The wonderful juicy colorful sounding of the orchestra, its ensemble harmony, mastery and accomplished virtuosity of the musicians will give you the opportunity to admire the great mastery in performance of all the pieces of music and to have aesthetic pleasure from being introduced into folk and instrumental art of Ukraine.
