"Aktus" rock-group has changed it's name to "Haydamaky". After renaming, musicians turned their faces to folk music and confidently presented themselves. "Haydamaky"create music in their own style "Karpaten Ska", mixing an energy of Ukrainian, Gypsy and Jamaica melodies. This debut CD was released by Comp company - an official EMI partner in Ukraine. "Haydamaky" is the first Ukrainian group which signed a contract with international label.

Some of these songs could be heard at Foma's performances back in 2014. Time flies, sure – now there are more of them. It would seem that with such a title one should expect from the album if not pink tears with ruffles – then, in any case, some average ballads. But "Rock-H" from the very beginning stood out against the background, and this time, too, they do not disappoint.

Even though "Wonderful World" seems to continue the trend of combining rock aesthetics with ethnics – now it sounds different. It sounds as if the band was able to rethink and synthesize all the previous groundwork – thus, when Oleh Skrypka defines this new piece as "velvet symphonic punk", that is not that much of an exaggeration..

Well, finally a new disc by the boyan Zhyvosyl – Vasyl Lyuty – has appeared. I think that anyone who had already heard his songs before could not help waiting for something new. There is such force in his texts, and in music – live indeed – that it is almost impossible to listen indifferently, not to get penetrated with it.

Класний діск, приємно слухати, зразу подумалось: як стану багатим, і буду видавати дочок заміж, запрошу Гайдамаків грати на весілля:)

Мені дуже сподобалися замовлені диски гурту "Гайдамаки". Це майже ідеальне поєднання народного фолькльору та сучасної альтернативної музики. Особливо яскраво звучать народні інструменти. Дякую вам за те, що я врешті-решт знайшов те, що так довго шукав і не міг знайти у свєму місті. =)

This disc is one of my most favourites. It's brilliant. It has fire and humour. Ukrainian ska, a genre that was always destined to be! I just wish that I could understand the words!
