Pavlo Tabakov, Orchestra Vito. Kava-Blues. (Coffee-Blues )

Pavlo Tabakov is constantly changing, almost in every new album he offers something different, really different from the previous one. This time again: he offers the Ukrainian variety art music of the European – even rather, perhaps, American – model. There are as many as two reasons to say so. First - this is pop music with very bright flavors of blues, jazz and funk, with a Latino gusto. Second – quality. With this, albums by Tabakov have never had any problems either – but still I’d like to duly mention the team of musicians from Orchestra Vito as well. Professionalism cannot be hidden, it is felt – and in this case it is felt nice. We now need to only mention the two last (but not least) components: the simple and good Ukrainian texts – and, of course, the vocal by Pavlo Tabakov. His manner of performance also varies with each new work – and, which is nice, it changes organically, nothing unnatural or unnecessary appears here. As a result – this is an opportunity to hear an album of fresh Ukrainian pop music of such quality that, probably, should have, finally, become the standard...
