"The book is devoted to the history of the Ukrainian army in the 14th-16th centuries. Based on examples of military campaigns and battles, traditions of the Ukrainian armed forces, their tactics and fighting techniques to combat nomadic hordes of the Steppe, Moscow principality and the German Order are analyzed. The role of the Ukrainian regiments in becoming and development of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania is highlighted, the mutual relations of the military organization and the political structure of the Gediminians state, the continuity of existence of the Ukrainian armed forces as a component part of the military affairs in Europe are shown.The publication is targeted at a wide range of readers."
