Oleh Rozumovsky. Anno Domini.

"Anno Domini" by Oleh Rozumovsky is an unusual album, it is difficult to attribute it to any concrete category. In fact, the two main lines that interlace here are new age and neo-classics, but they do not outline the whole picture. This music could be named pleasantly intelligent – however, this is also a totally subjective definition. Though, in the end, if music is capable of touching something inside of the listener, its perception becomes subjective just by definition – and "Anno Domini" really does not leave you indifferent. Inside of it – it is spacious and easy. This is that infrequent case when an album can be listened to both as a background and attentively – you enjoy it in any case. Possibly, the point is that it is not about moods, there are no clear stories as in songs. It is the music of states, quiet contemplation – but at the same time it can also induce to real internal work. And the flow of time confirms that it is not for nothing that the disc "Anno Domini" was released within the series "Music Collection of Lviv". Consider: a several years have already passed from the moment of the release, now this disc is a real rarity – but the music that sounds here, as well as before, is able to thrill and to inspire.
