"I have called the piano pieces which were created unintentionally and spontaneously between the years of 2003 and 2017 "Bagatelles". This immense body of work (around 30 hours of sound) consists of cycles made up of 2-10 pieces, which I then organized into super-cycles. Each of them must be performed as a unbroken text (attacca), made up of a chain of musical moments.
In my opinion, the three CDs "Bagatelles-XXIV, XXV, XXVI most accurately reproduce the integrity and metaphoricity of these super-cycles. I would even go as far as to call them "symphonies for piano", in the most direct sense of the word "symphony" – consonance. These works are a "symphony of moments" and a "melodies of silence", made up of not only sounds, but also pauses, which are music as well. Perhaps in these works one of the function of music shall manifest itself – to be a consolation..." Valentyn Sylvestrov (quoted from the booklet)
