This performer is known not only in his homeland. From Japan to Canada, and even in Australia – practically everywhere there are people who admire his talent and his art of performance. This is another proof of the fact that our ways are not limited by anything except for talent and inspiration. I doubt whether the family of usual miners, in which he was born, expected that the Milanese "La Scala" or New York "Metropolitan-Opera" would applaud him. And it is good that this disc presents exactly folk songs performed by Anatoliy Solovyanenko, because as many people think, this singer reveals himself vividly, faithfully and deeply when performing exactly Ukrainian folk songs. Opera will be opera, but in these songs his real roots are traced. And may be, in the way he admits these feelings and renders them to his listeners, one of the main secrets of his success is hidden. I hope, while listening to this disc, you will also feel the force of Anatoliy Solovyanenko.
