From the first seconds, the album creates a specific, friendly space, tunes one into attentive perception – even if you have never before heard Olexiy Bogolyubov. And if you have already had the chance, it will a priori be interesting to listen. Olexiy quickly enough (being only 23 now) matured for recording of a solo project – and he has really matured. If one did not know about the active performances with various compositions, it could seem that for a long time he was exclusively engaged in keeping silent, in observation and accumulation – in order to now implement this whole luggage of experiences at once in one integral project. At least, it is such implementation that he has succeeded in. Internal harmony, balance both of each play and of the disc as a whole – pleasantly delights. "My "Cool & Crazy" World" is a beautiful, diversified work, in which Bogolyubov demonstrated himself well both as the performer, and as the composer. And – as the organizer. The latter, presumably, is most convincingly illustrated by the invited drummers – in view of the fact that the album can really be conditionally divided into two parts, cool and crazy. Sergiy Tabunschyk, characterized by his ability to unobtrusively but mathematically clearly fill the space, put a dozen of accents where a few would be enough – but at the same time in a surprising way not to make a single superfluous motion, sounds in the first four compositions (actually, cool). The second half of the album – tends to the crazy. Olexiy Fantanaev, who played in the next two plays, is also a recognized master of delicate pauses – but he creates his line more emotionally, with noticeable love to "southern" rhythms and experiments, therefore the flow grows perceptibly warmer. Well, and in the two concluding tracks we hear Olexander Murenko, the owner of the expressive and sometimes a bit flamboyant performance manner – his playing added here drive rock-fusion shades.
Everything mentioned does not mean that there is nothing to say about the other participants, but – how long can one hide beauty behind words? You'd better – listen to the music...
