NAOFI. Melodies Of Ukraine. The sixth CD.

It is easy to understand that it is the sixth disc of the series. Besides, the National Orchestra of Folk Instruments under the direction of V. Hutsal is as usual at a high professional level. It is pleasant to state that this famous orchestra, which has such long history, is not amenable to time but lives and actively carries out its creative activities. And I think that it is not so easy, because the orchestra is not so small. But, on the other hand, its professionalism raises no doubts. Thus, this orchestra makes an advertisement to the level of any project even by its participation in it. Or let’s take this particular disc as an example. The names of the composers presented here are not so well known to broad masses, but still their creative activities deserve attention. And high-quality performance of the orchestra helps both to draw attention and to estimate at their true worth real and not conditional talents of these composers. Moreover, there appears the desire not simply to listen once more, but to learn in every detail about the work of presented composers. I think that this is a very good result.

We call CDs of this series "the first", "the second" etc. In fact, all of them are great and not accidentally our customers like them. There is no order numbers on the covers of the CDs of the series.

The Sixth CD of the 'Melodies of Ukraine' series continues the high professionalism as seen in the preceeding 5 CD's. Particularly the fifth and sixth CD's are not specific dances but rhapsodic pieces and scenes, adaption of folk songs. My favourites, 'Suholosia Svitojaru', and 'Vinochok ukrainskyh narodnyh melodij'. I'm sure all who listen to this disk will appreciate the heart felt interpretation as a representation of Ukrainian instrumental music!
