Anytchka. Dzvony Lemkivshchyny. (Bell Ringing of Lemkivschyna)

When the first albums by Anytchka just appeared – it was just a wonderful discovery, true joy. Both because the basis of her art is formed by not just Ukrainian, but – Lemkivsky folklore. Not as a decoration, but exactly as a basis – this is still very and very rare. And – because from the very beginning Anytchka has been delighting us with the quality of performance, the quality of approaching the material. That is why – it was a pity when her discs disappeared from sale for some reason. And that is why we are very happy that we have succeeded in correcting this, finding her first albums. And we are even happier with that all through the recent years Anytchka did not stop singing, did not betray her love to Lemkivsky songs – and has been recording new albums. It is one of them that you see now – and we do not doubt that this disc will give a lot of positive emotions to all fans of the Ukrainian song. First, because it consists exclusively of Lemkivsky songs – and this, as we have already mentioned, is still extraordinary rare. Second – just because the album appears really good, interesting, saturated. One immediately can hear that not only work was invested into it, but also – love, even though it might sound banal. And as a result the album – sounds. Although one might disagree with some arrangements – but this is already, probably, rather about personal liking, not the quality of performance.
