Oksana Mukha. Re:Sheto. /digi-pack/.
Literally from the first second, there is anticipation of something wonderful and – the premonition comes true. One even sometimes does not believe that it is Oksana Mukha's first album – so polished everything is here. At the same time, it is quite difficult – as, indeed, it is often true about high quality works – to attribute the album to any particular style. Here, you hear echoes of the classic variety art, then the modern ethno-pop sounds, or light hints at jazz spices. On the one hand – it is a fresh perspective on folklore, on the other – great romance song samples (including those based on lyrics by Bohdan Vesolovsky, Lina Kostenko). The arrangements are rich – and sometimes there are just treasures, especially the lyrical ballads. The instrument composition is pleasantly extensive, and thus the sound is very rich, colorful – there is the sense of brevity and flying at the same time. But the special, key decoration is Oksana Mukha's singing: there is incredible ease is in it, however, there is also enough inner power. Like a bird taking off, whose one wing is freedom, and the other – tenderness... One is reluctant to describe her voice with words, you should just hear it – and listen, listen, because that should be approximately how the miracle sounds..

Nota bene: a year after completion of her work on this album, Oksana Mukha won the first urban romance festival competition named after Kvitka Cisyk.

Tina Karol. Intonatsii. /mini-pack/. (Intonations)

This album is a response to expectations of everyone who realized that Tina Karol was capable of much more than what she had so far demonstrated. Stuff of that kind was something that not only Tina, but the entire Ukrainian "first echelon pop scene" missed. A test (for herself and her habitual audience), a pilot..

"Rushnychok" Ensemble. Solov'jina Ukrajina.

This ensemble, which is actually a duet, performs the most popular Ukrainian folk songs. But – pay attention – an academic vocal performance sounds here. As for the musical accompaniment, it is not academic at all. That’s why this disc is meant for those listeners who do not like opera so much, but listen to a beautiful and skilful singing with great pleasure.
