Firstly about this duet appearance. Church chorus " Vydubychi " is widely known for a long time and, professionals of a high level sing in it. So, probably, it is not surprising, that soloists of this collective, except for participation in chorus, are also engaged in solo career. There is the vocal duet "Two seagulls" among the examples. Actually it consists of two solo singers Valentyna Jakovenko and Svetlana Voznjuk, a soprano and an alto, accordingly. Unlike the chorus work, they have given advantage to folk songs in this project. On this album you will hear their singing in two variants – a’kapella and with accompaniment. As for me, I prefer a’kapella. Both this women have really beautiful voices emphasized by any accompaniment absence.

I am very pleased with the album. It contains folk songs that I enjoy - sung in two part harmony - beautiful arrangements. The arrangements are jazzed up (contemporized) a bit and enjoyable to listen to. Easy listening!
