Well, everything is quite clear. This ensemble, which is actually a duet, performs the most popular Ukrainian folk songs. But – pay attention – an academic vocal performance sounds here. Common people from the street do not sing like that as a rule. The thing is that both vocalists are soloists of the National Opera House of Ukraine, and moreover, they are laureates of the first prize of the All-Ukrainian contest of folk arts. So, you can easily understand that their masterly performance is at a high level. As for the musical accompaniment, it is not academic at all. That’s why this disc is meant for those listeners who do not like opera so much, but listen to a beautiful and skilful singing with great pleasure. And here there’s much to be heard. For example, "Hey, You, Moon" and "The Night is so Moonlit" are united by one musical theme, so that as a result, it turns out to be surprisingly beautiful and transparent. Still, I won’t tell you about all boons – otherwise it won’t be so interesting for you to listen to this disc.

This album is a response to expectations of everyone who realized that Tina Karol was capable of much more than what she had so far demonstrated. Stuff of that kind was something that not only Tina, but the entire Ukrainian "first echelon pop scene" missed. A test (for herself and her habitual audience), a pilot..

Given the rapid development of Tonya's music career lately – it is even surprising that the album has been released only now. On the other hand, it could mean that she did not disregard the possibility of more thorough handling of the material. And the result deserves attention due to its..

Anyway, the album turns out really atmospheric – it seems to invite to recall the past, but at the same time goes slightly beyond time limits. Because Lucyna's songs are about stories that occur at all times – where there are two people and something between them..

I agree with Sophia, I remember the zabava's in Sydney,Wollongong and Adelaide with our parents and relatives, with many small groups breaking into spontanious song(well, after proper lubrication, that is) but, not as in tune and well balanced as this duo.The professional trained voice cannot be hidden and even though they "Rushnychok"are trained to the highest standard the songs still have have that natural earthy feel.Definitly a cd for the collector.

This album reminds me of evening when our families (newly arrived migrants) would get together at special occassions, parties and zabavas and sing the songs they knew from back home. A worthwhile album to have in your collection.
