The third numbered album by Stoned Jesus has been released surprisingly quickly – there are only four compositions, but it's 40 minutes of vigorous and controversial beauty. Moreover (note the title), this is the album that could become the first one in the group's discography – because the recording was made two years before release of their official debut album. So, perhaps, it is no surprise that the vintage nature of the sound that all the audience of
"Seven Thunders Roar" paid attention to is also evident here. And now it is absolutely clear that the wide scope of sound canvases by Stoned Jesus was part of their concept from the very start. Another thing is that now – when the band is really well known both in Ukraine and Western Europe – there are much more chances of that such bulky 10-minute opuses will be listened to really attentively and perceived more favorably (though if you remember
"Krobak" – the previous project of Ihor Sydorenko – it becomes clear that he did not aspire for short forms before either). Now the musicians' name already works in their favor – and allows doing what previously could not be done. This is great, because music by Stoned Jesus definitely deserves attention.
