The basis for this experiment was recordings of singing by Tonya Matvienko's granny – Antonina – made 40 years ago. Due to digitalization and restoration of the records – Tonya is actually singing as a duet with her grandmother... However, this is not the only amusing thing about the project: the music component appears quite far from simple dance and variety rails. Electronic patterns please with their ambiguity, and the bunch of live instruments were involved not just for effect. Jaw harps, bagpipe, telynkas, hudzhen, hotiku, didgeridoo, various percussions, saxophone, analog synthesizers – all this wealth weaves as a wave of nicely cut "creative disorder" (with the emphasis on the word "creative"). With no aspirations for the noise territory, but with cheerful splashes of chaos, which nicely reflect the harmonious melodic lines of the basis. By the way, it reminds albums of the series "The Modern Interpretation of the Traditional Ukrainian Folk Music". It is cool that in this dedication album Tonya Matvienko is not afraid of actualization – the result is not only interesting, but for many, perhaps, unexpected. Which is useful both for the artists, and for the audience..
